I've been busy tidying up my laptop in the last week and I'm pretty pleased with the results. All the drivers are updated, all the new music has been tagged for DJing, etc, It takes so much time though!
If there was more time in the world, I would set about organising my Outlook Calendar and maintaining it. It always ends up a bit lost in the wilderness.

It's working!
Just finished Unit 17 for the travelling salesman problem.... it's more like the total soul-destroying problem. One must now decide whether to stay up late and do Unit 18, or go to sleep and tackle that shizz in the morning.
I'm not posh, I just like using the term "One" in reference to "thy self"... it's the Glasgow Uni Posh Ass FX

Concentrating in that blooming lab
Just a quick wee rant about the fact that it's impossible to concentrate in the Level 1 computing lab with everybody chattering away. It should be a Red Zone like in the library - no talking! :¬)

Time management
I suck at organising my time, it usually revolves around trying to decide what to do with my time ... as opposed to doing something useful with it.
I'm going to try this program out to see if it's of any use to me:

Seems pretty cool for somebody like me that likes to see progress on paper.

1st year pretty much done and dusted already
My 1st year at the University of Glasgow is almost over - lecture wise at least. It seems to have flown in. It hasn't exactly panned out how I had expected it to, but I have the excuse of being away from studying for a few years.
I'm right on the door-step of my mates, and the living arrangements are comfortable. I'm always finding out something new about my acquaintances too. Overall, the experience of being a student is fun!
I have to find motivation to knuckle down now and study. It's easier said than done. Computing isn't the most exciting course in the world, but it does provide a means of satisfaction when things are going well.
Blogging is better than Facebook alone I can say a lot more!
